This is case dependant, however on average with good care they can last 10-15 years.
Your natural tooth will need to be reshaped/prepared slightly to allow enough space for the veneer to sit. In some cases, there is very little to no preparation required however for this your teeth need to be very straight to begin with.
Sometimes if your teeth are very misaligned to start with and your current bite would not favour porcelain veneers, it would be advised to undergo orthodontic treatment such as invisalign to straighten your teeth prior to the final veneers.
Unlike composite veneers, porcelain veneers are stain resistant and do not change colour over time.
Porcelain veneers are extremely durable and hardwearing, however they can chip from accidental damage if not looked after.
