The treatment itself only takes a few minutes to carry out. At your consultation appointment I will go through an in-depth medical history and determine what your areas of concern are and therefore advise the best course of treatment to achieve your desired results.
It takes time for the toxin to be taken up by your muscles, and therefore it can take from 3-14 days for the results to show, this varies from person to person however the peak effectiveness will be at 2 weeks. This should be taken into consideration if you are planning on getting treatment before a big event such as a wedding or holiday.
It would be beneficial if you could attend your appointment with minimal/no makeup to reduce the risk of infection from bacteria on the skin. We advise that you do not do any exercise for 24 hours, avoid sunbeds for 7 days, avoid touching the area and remain upright for the next 4 hours.
Anti wrinkle injections can work to soften the appearance of present wrinkles. In addition, it can also work to prevent/ delay the development of wrinkles from forming and therefore many individuals are opting to have BTX as a preventative approach.

If you have pain in the muscles that you use to chew, a multidisciplinary approach is required to assess a few things. The pain may be a result of clenching/grinding your teeth. It is important to find out the cause of this which can include increased stress levels, grinding when sleeping, the bite/position of your teeth and muscle enlargement. Botox injections can be used alongside other dental treatments to alleviate symptoms and slim the lower face muscles.
The muscles that raise the upper lip on smiling may be over active, which can be treated with small doses of botox to slightly relax these muscles and lower the lip line. It may also present that a combination of lip filler and botox can be used to create the desired results.
